West Tripura is an administrative district in the Indian state of Tripura. The district headquarters is located in Agartala, which is also the state capital. As of 2012 it is the most populous district of Tripura (in 8). West Tripura District is located on the north and west of Khowai district by the Sepahijala district on east and south east and south.After the formation of four new districts of Tripura state,the total area of the district is 983.63 sq km.
